Sick of all those Harry Potter fan sites? Try to give one more a shot.
At the moment it’s the Trio’s third year at Hogwarts. Yeah, yeah, I’m sure most of you know the story on what happens. But here’s the thing; what if the story as we know… changes? Now how can you change that kind of story? Well here’s how.
Hermione Granger never had a time-turner. That’s right. In fact, the girl did insist on having one but the professors felt as if she was going for something way over her head and so instead refused to allow her one. She was very upset about the whole ordeal but, of course, learned to live with it.
Now how does that change the way things turn out? As you can imagine, in many, many ways.
The first event is quite a sad one; due to circumstances, Buckbeak wasn’t able to live. Yes, heartbreaking I know. Harry was wounded that night greatly because, seeing as Remus Lupin turned into a werewolf and nobody saved Harry from him, the werewolf ended up tearing apart Harry. But luckily, and nobody can seem to figure it out, he still survived.
Desperate to save Sirius, Harry still made his way down to the Black Lake where his godfather had fallen. The two passed out earlier then expected, but once it went black Severus Snape seemed to get there just in time. Seeing as he is a very powerful wizard, the spell wasn’t too difficult for him. As you can probably guess what happens next, Severus basically rescued the children and turned Sirius Black in, who unfortunately had the Dementor’s kiss actually happen to him.
Ever since that dreadful day, Harry has pretty much been a loon. After all, Sirius was the last of his family so now what was he supposed to do? Severus Snape was considered a great hero and ended up becoming the Headmaster of the school, while Dumbledore (who didn’t want to lose his job) settled for the job of teaching Potions. And of course, Snape ended up teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts just like he pleased.
The trio have split up since that day also. Something just happened to where it felt quite strange having to be by each other. Harry, seeing as he is quite depressed and all, soon became a loner having very few friends, mostly the ones who found themselves depressed like he was or the very few fan girls that still somehow adore him. Hermione began to hang out with the Ravenclaws; the house she began to wish was her own. And Ron, well, he pretty much hung out with the same people, excluding the former two best friends.
Draco Malfoy has found himself quite pleased with the turn of events. With Potter no longer a threat, he is no longer jealous of the boy’s ways and instead of just being the ‘Prince of Slytherin’, he now seems to be dominating the entire school. Of course he’s still a bloody coward like he has always been, but now with his great popularity he can get almost anyone to believe those fake “heroic” rumors of his.
The students are now entering their 6th year and only you can decide. Will it be one of their greatest years ever, or just a boring plain one in which you only find yourself looking to leave? This is aReality Check. [/size][/blockquote]
