They all say it started with a simple prophecy told by Sybil Trelawney told the return of the Dark Lord, and that he would be vanquished by a boy born in the end of the seventh month. But did it really start then? Did all of the happenings of the evil in the world really start when Sybil Trelawney made her prophetic decision in the Hog's Head? Many believe that even before she made her prophecy, that chaos reigned. But what really started the time changing events? What really started it all? Many (Muggles) are skeptical that it was real at all, just one big made up conspiracy, played out by well taught actors. Muggles heard little of the true story, nor would they have been able to understand the true complexities of the Wizarding world. To stay true to it all, it was started when Salazar Slytherin belevied in an Aryan1 race, that of pure bloods, no mixture of muggles, or other creatures running through the bloodlines. Along with Godric Gryffindor, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Helga Hufflepuff, Salazar Slytherin founded the great school of Hogwarts. But after a time, Slytherin wished to be more selective in admissions to Hogwarts, but not restricted to only his own house; he used blood purity as a factor of selecting students since the school's inception. He wanted magical learning restricted to all-magical families, as he believed Muggle-born students to be untrustworthy and he disliked teaching such students. This brought on a never ending conflict with Godric Gryffindor, for Gryffindor believed that students should not be judged on their blood lines, but of their pure hearts, and brave minds. Gryffindor and Slytherin had once been close friends, but in the later years of the school, all evidence of Godric and Salazar's friendship erased, creating tensions between the two Houses. So, in short, the evil and chaos has really been about for thousands of years, many were just too blind to see it. Others say that the evil started when Merope Gaunt sought out to woo a muggle, Tom Riddle, later soon to give birth to his son, but Tom Riddle senior wanted nothing to do with her, and acted like nothing had ever happened between them. Merope died shortly after her son was born, her only wish was that he was called Tom Marvolo Riddle. Many say that it was the birth of Tom Riddle junior that caused all of the problems. Later on in his life, Tom Marvolo Riddle changed his name to Lord Voldemort, a name that would soon cause fear to climb up knowing witches' and wizard's backs. Later on, in a dark corner of the Hog's Head, one of the Dark Lord's spy's heard Trelawney's prophecy, and immediately sought out the child that had been told in the prophecy. The child? Harry James Potter. When Voldemort arrived at Godric's Hollow, the first to die was James Potter, Harry's father. All the while, Lily Potter would not step aside and let him kill her son. Intending to get through Lily and to Harry, Voldemort easily killed her, but what he didn't see was an invisible spell had been put on Harry, the 'power that the Dark Lord knows not'. Love. By sacrificing her self for Harry, Lily created a force of love that almost destroyed Voldemort. The most powerful Dark Wizard in all of history was reported to have gone in to hiding, but fourteen years later, he returned. The only witness to his return? Harry Potter. For a year, Potter and Dumbledore fought the ministry, striving to prove that Voldemort had returned, few believed them. But on the night that Sirius Black was killed, and Voldemort and his Death Eaters had come to the ministry, the truth was revealed. Two more years after the truth of his return, and three years after his return, all fell apart. The Last Battle was held in Hogwarts. There, Voldemort was defeated. Now years since his defeat, a new generation is formed. Stories of the Last Battle are commonly told in the Common Rooms of Hogwarts. Students of those war heroes now walk down the very same hallways their parents did. But a dark cloud has remained over Hogwarts for fourty years, still, few have noticed the looming danger. And few can place their finger on what it is. In fact, none know exactly what it is. Times are changing, students are studying harder, but what will happen when all hell breaks loose? Will you let the world fall apart around your ears? Or will you join in on the fight to vanquish what ever evil has polluted the world once again? Are you going to change the times, or let the times change you? This is your decision.

1Aryan- Known throughout history as a superior race, started by the Aryan civilization. One of the greater examples of the Aryan race would be Hitler's Aryan race, a race containing pure-blooded peoples with blond hair and blue eyes.
