Lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy, and pride. The Seven deadly sins all have a place here at Greengrass Meadows High. Greengrass Meadows High looks like your average boarding school on the outside. However, It is far from average on the inside. Every corner in the hallway, you will find something new. A couple or perhaps someone up to no good. The drama here is as expensive as the tutition itself.
Lust (or lechery) is usually thought of as involving obsessive or excessive thoughts or desires of a sexual nature. Unfulfilled lusts sometimes lead to sexual or sociological compulsions and/or transgressions including (but obviously not limited to) sexual addiction and adultry. You will find that all here At Greengrass Meadows. With horemones running rampid through the hallways, and some of the best looking students around, they can't seem to keep their hands to themselves.
Derived from the Latin gluttire, meaning to gulp down or swallow, gluttony is the over-indulgence and over-consumption of anything to the point of waste. It may also be termed as keeping from the needy. The food here at Greengrass Meadows High isn't the only thing that may endure gluttony. But, rather, information and love kept among those who just may use it as leverage along the semester.
Greed.Greed (or avarice, covetousness) is, like lust and gluttony, a sin of excess. However, greed (as seen by the church) is applied to the acquisition of wealth in particular. The students here have money, at least most of them do. Those who don't, want. And some of them may be so consumed by greed that they can't think straight. They will do anything to obtain what they want most, and step on those in their way.
More than other sins, the definition of sloth has changed considerably since its original inclusion among the seven deadly sins. In fact it was first called the sin of sadness or despair. It had been in the early years of Christianity characterized by what modern writers would now describe as melancholy: apathy, depression, and joylessness — the last being viewed as being a refusal to enjoy the goodness of God and the world he created. With great power, comes great falls. Often students are controlled by the other sins, and can ultimately lead to depression. Tears are nothing new here at Greengrass Meadows.
Wrath.Wrath (or anger) may be described as inordinate and uncontrolled feelings of hatred and anger. These feelings can manifest as vehement denial of the truth, both to others and in the form of self-denial, impatience with the procedure of law, and the desire to seek revenge outside of the workings of the justice system. Hell hath no fury than a woman scorn, so watch your back in the halls late at night. Or you just might be the next victim of Greengrass Meadows High.
Envy.Like greed, envy may be characterized by an insatiable desire; they differ, however, for two main reasons. First, greed is largely associated with material goods, whereas envy may apply more generally. Second, those who commit the sin of envy resent that another person has something they perceive themselves as lacking, and wish the other person to be deprived of it.The color green is plastered in the eyes of many here, and will stop at nothing to obtain what they desire. Hold on to your pride and your loved ones, it just may be what someone else wants.
Pride. In almost every list pride (or hubris or vanity) is considered the original and most serious of the seven deadly sins, and indeed the ultimate source from which the others arise. It is identified as a desire to be more important or attractive than others, failing to give compliments to others though they may be deserving of them. You've heard of school pride and pride in oneself, but what happens when pride stands in the way?
