WELCOME TO MR. HYDES CIRCUS Based loosely on Darren Shans Cirque De Freak
Freak shows were very popular around 1840 to 1940 in the United States. Abnormal humans or freaks were gathered together and put into a show for the entertainment of many other people. The bearded lady, the tallest and the smallest people in the world. The Dog-Man, people with both male and female secondary sexual characteristics. Anything that people would be shocked at and anything that would possibly be laughed at with humour sometimes even nervous laughter from fear. As advances in medicine began the freak shows were getting closed down because of the cures that were being founded, as well as the fact that Nazis were arresting the acts and to experiment with them. Nowadays, freak shows are no longer allowed in many U.S states.
Now, walk in dark alleys at night and maybe you can get a flyer for a certain freak show that’s different from all the rest. Filled with things like myths and things that aren’t exactly ‘human’, there are many things that make Mr. Hyde’s Freak Show different from all the rest. Based at night and in the quiet cities where they most likely won’t be found. In old run down buildings and many places that people would not go adventuring in the middle of night. Mr. Hyde’s Freak Show is a great place for people of all ages but make sure you follow the rules that the performers tell you. Otherwise, something might happen.
So, gather your friends and family and take them out to see something they might never forget.
