Everything was fine for Lionsbridge, a small town filling up a small island off the coast of Canada, at least until the day a disease spread over the townsfolk. The sickness did not alter their health, however, but rather changed their way of living. Life went on as normal, the sickness going away as easily as it came, and has never returned since.
The townspeople were confused, though--something was wrong. Ever since that disease had come over them, the females of the town were feeling strange. And, oddly enough, they could not get pregnant. No matter how many times they tried, nothing would happen. And so, the scientists took up a new project.
They named it Project TTB--Test Tube Babies. What they did was take the genetics from the humans who wanted a baby, and they did some experiments with them, eventually having a rapidly growing baby located inside a test tube. It grew at the same rate as a normal baby, and when out of the tube they were the average height and weight as a normal baby. The parents took care of them from then on, and life went on--just with different systems of creating babies.
After a generation of this, all the originals started to die off. The new parents were the tube-borns, and then when those genetics were put together, everything was normal--until the babies started to grow up.
Once hitting thirteen years of age, the children of the tube-borns started to behave strangely. Having supersonic hearing and being able to smell roses from a few miles away, these children now had as great senses of a wolf--or even maybe better than one. After a few more generations of this, all humans on the past-peaceful island had excellent senses. Some were too fast, some were abnormally strong, but they all knew one thing--their life was never, and would never be, normal....
That is when the hunters arrived. Word had spread about the abnormal super-humans living on the isolated island, and the hunters had trained all their lives just to go and meet one of these people--just not in a friendly manner. The hunters came down on airplanes, dozens in each, and the race to survive began.
What side will you choose--the all-powerful armed hunters, or the super-sensed tube-borns? We will leave it up to you... good luck.
