Molly father, Ignatius, was heavy into fighting for the rising “Dark Lord”, and fell victim to one of the last acts of the resistance against the dark wizard, resulting in their mansion being burnt to the ground, with Ignatius dwelling within. Ignatius lived for a month afterward, but the damage done to his lungs due to the smoke inhalation was far past what healers could maintain for long, and he passed two months before Molly’s marriage to Arthur.
Molly’s mother soon went insane, and moved back with her family in Ireland to mourn the loss of her husband, as well as her failure to raise her daughter, Molly, in a respectable manner. Molly’s face was burned off of the Black family tree, and she soon became close friends with Andromeda Black, who, too, was marrying outside of her heritage - only with a muggleborn, Ted Tonks.
A month before their marriage, Arthur and Molly moved back to Molly’s hometown that had now been vacated by the entire Prewitt family. They bought her old property, though the house was too destroyed to be reusable, and together they build The Burrow without much constructing experience (hence it’s sort of haphazard shape) in 1970.
A year later their first child, Bill Weasley was born. It was around Bill’s birth that Arthur and Molly both became involved with The Order of the Phoenix, a resistance group against the still fairly quiet Death Eaters aligned with Voldemort. Arthur found a job at the Ministry. It was a small job, but he was promised a quick promotion. Money wasn’t something of a priority to the family of three, despite Molly’s rich background. She found material things had less substance without a strong family base… a base she’d not fully had during her childhood, though her and her twin brothers were still close. Molly received very little word from her mother, although Lucretia visited on the day of Bill’s birth, and stayed in the Burrow for an entire week to look after the boy. She disappeared, again, however, presumably to Ireland with her family once more.
Two years later their second son, Charlie, was born. Molly found her greatest joy in being a mother, and with full support from her husband, she stopped her attempts at lifting up a career in home decorations, and spent all of her time in up keeping her home, and soon, maintaining herself in her pregnancy with their third child, Percy Ignatius (named, of course, after her father).
It was around this time that Molly saw her mother for the very last time, when she came to meet Charlie and to help Molly in her first week, once more, after Percy’s death. Perhaps it was Percy’s middle name, or even his striking resemblance to her late husband, but Lucretia was never seen again by Molly after she left once more for Ireland, and the letters and generous birthday gifts of money stopped altogether until the day of her last son’s birth.
During Molly’s fourth pregnancy, her twin brothers were killed in battle as Death Eaters against Order members… against her friends, against her husband. Molly held no hatred for the Order, for she herself believed in it’s cause, despite her family’s harsh resistance against it. Molly gave birth to two sons, twins, with bright red hair just as her brother’s. She named them Fred and George, the first letters of their names the same as her late brother’s. Their personalities soon began to reflect that of her brothers when they were younger, always pulling pranks on their sister that was three years younger than themselves.
March 1st of this year Molly gave birth to her last son, Ronald Weasley. A week later in the mail she received a surprise letter from her mother, granting her with money to take care of the boy, and his brothers. Molly wrote back, asking about her mother’s health and questioning the sudden change of heart, but she received no reply apart from a check for money the month following, the month following that, and every month to follow for the foreseeable future. Molly still writes back, however, despite the lack of response, for she feels it is only fair… her mother shows her love still, even if it is only through her wealth.
Molly is pregnant again, due August 11 1981, now, as the healers have told her, with her very first baby girl. She plans to give her daughter the middle name of her mother - Ginevera.
