At the beginning of the year 2023, a large magical war broke out marveling that of the time of Lord Voldemort. A new war lord had emerge to take the vacant dark lord's throne. This new war lord was Count de Drow, or so he chose to be called. It is still unknown what the Count's real alias is or was. However, it was clear the man's goal was to take charge of the Magical World, to drag it from the hole it had been hiding it and to make it take charge of its destiny.
Attacks happened all over. No where was safe. In the latter years of the war, 2050's Hogwarts was finally struck. Students were evacuated to a safe holding, but the school suffered immensely. The majority of the east and north sides of the school were destroyed. The upper floors had all collapsed, leaving only the fourth floor and down in one piece.
And then, in 2056, the war appeared to end. The Count de Drow was captured but the man had killed himself before he could be taken away. The master mind of all the chaos had destroyed himself. The world was then left to pick itself up. The Magical World was still hidden from the muggles, but just barely. Suspicion had arrisen from the Count's war.
However, at the end of the war, Hogwarts was left to its ruin. No one step forward to rebuild the school, the former Headmaster -- Douglas Cowlwell -- was killed in the battle that had ensued on the grounds. It wasn't until an unknown benefactor turned an eye to the school in 2058 that repairs were made. However, with the amount of destruction, changes were made. Floors five through seven were no not re-built. The school was divided into wings instead of floors. The Gryffindor tower was no longer in one piece, but only a ruined base. The Gryffindors were then moved to the first floor of the South Wing, their entrance guarded by a statue of Albus Dumbledore.
Over the middle of the school, where the Entrance Hall and Great Hall were, the four floors were merged into the Ground floor and a first floor. The ground floor held the large halls of the Entrance Hall and Great Hall, the first floor was made into the Library, Hospital Wing, Counseling Center, and a Study hall, giving each room ample head space. Most of the school was repaired, yet the East wing refused to be repaired. Repairs would be made yet they never held until finally it was decided to leave the area in ruins. It has since been decided that the area is cursed from some reason.
However, the school was finished by 2060 for the beginning of a new term. A new Head was chosen for the position and the staff was filled again with old and new faces. Students were brought back to continue learning. But is there something more in store for Hogwarts? What will people think of the changes made? And just why won't the east wing allow itself to be repaired?
