Durmstrang Institute for Magical Learning

With the final fall of Lord Voldemort and his supporters in Wizarding Britain a great wave of change flooded the rest of the world. Many outside of the wizarding communities began installing new guidelines and regiments involving blood unity in a way to stop any sort of race inequality. In an attempt to unify the world at large, a comity of elders for the magical world was established. Their goal was to create a set of rules or guidelines that all wizards and witches were to follow, in an attempt to halt any such ill favored behavior such as the Death Eater movement.
A decree was put in motion, stating that all wizards, no matter race, creed or bloodline, were to be treated as equals! Many were effected, but none as much so as the great Durmstrang Institute.
Founded in 1016, Durmstrang had always been a school reserved for those of the finest blood. Although they allowed those of mix blood enter, muggle borns and creatures had always been strictly forbidden entrance to the greatest wizarding school in Eastern Europe. Known for their teaching in dark magic, Durmstrang had always been a looming shadow of the world. That is, until the United Wizermont Committee was established.
With the new regiment in order, Durmstrang was forced to admit muggle born, vampires and werewolves. Merging with a few lesser know schools, Durmstrang has now become an establishment of equal opportunity. A school where all wizarding students can come and receive a higher education previously reserved for those of noble blood.
Many of the students are none too pleased over the new outlook of the school. Many have left, choosing to finish their education at home, but many others have opted to stay. Tempers run high within the stone walls of the institute. The 'pure bloods' have taken it upon themselves to show the transfer students just how unwelcome they are. Teased, tormented and even beaten at times, the muggle borns and creatures have entered a world of ambitiously ferocious brutality. They have found themselves in a society where they are clearly unwelcome, and a world where their very survival involves them to fight back. To prove that they are just as good as the pure bloods, and that although within them runs the blood of muggles, their very essence will not be chased from a world that is just as much theirs.
