Hogwarts has become a much different place to the idyllic haven for young witches and wizards it used to be. 20 years have passed since the Great War in which Harry Potter defeated Lord Voldemort.

During these years, there were some changes going on around the School. No one has yet been able to replace the late Albus Dumledore; every headmaster since has lasted no more than a year before they had were forced for some reasons unknown, to resign. Many felt it was taking the curse the
Defense Against the Dark Arts position once held, a position now steadily held by a completely normal-looking chap by the name of Stefan Jessops. Minerva McGonagall had abandoned her position as Headmistress, finally retiring after a long and respectable career; though she is still pestered by former students, and even some currently enrolled in Hogwarts to return to her former position.

This was how it was and how it stayed for 19 years and then the curse ended.

Professor Alexis Draven, against the advice and wishes of certain people took up the post of Headmaster with great exuberance, tackling everything that he saw as problematic immediately. The only problem being he took to solving problems that didn't exist.

Since the Great War, relations between Slytherins and the other houses have been tender, especially between the descendants of those that took part in the fight, some people manage to bridge the gaps, but friendships are constantly under threat and scrutinized. Sons and daughters have awakened old grudges and many refuse to die. With the appointment of Professor Draven to the school the Slytherins seem unusually chipper. Sly smirks are constantly shot across the corridor, as if they all shared a secret no one else did. It was making the student body uneasy and rumors began to spread, news that Draven was a former Death Eater wirmed its way into suspicious students ears firing more and more rumors, but what could they do? In a year he would be gone... right?

One and a half years later and Draven still holds the prestigious position. The curse broken. But why?

Under his reign changes are being made. Orders and Acts are being introduced. Those who remember stories from their parents of the times of Umbridge are noticing similarities. Slytherins have powers they never had before, the power to report students for immediate detention, their word taken above any one elses. Head Boys, Head Girls, Prefects, they're all Slytherins. Its stepping far past favouritism now and the other houses are starting to rebel, but what can they do? The teachers have no power. A new group of students are rising to power thanks to things granted to them from the Headmaster.

Whispers are starting, inside and out of the school... is Alexis Draven starting his own army?
