Hogwarts: The Last Secret
The fall of secrecy
It is 2015, seventeen years after Voldemort’s ultimate downfall, and the wizarding secret has finally been revealed. No one knows how the secret was spilled, and the Ministry has not been able to track who spilled it. However the case, in December 2014 muggles somehow uncovered the wizarding world, and after an outcry of shock and disbelief they began to believe.
Many of the witches and wizards found have been pestered incessantly, just like in muggle fairy tales, to provide spells and charms, while the non-human creatures were captured by the government for study... or some of the less dangerous ones for pets. Witch hunts were revived within mere weeks by religious fanatics and scared muggles, causing magical creatures, human and non-human alike, to flee to highly protected areas.
The charms protecting Diagon Alley fell within months, enabling muggles to enter and eagerly gawk. The once-prosperous area is now abandoned, most shop owners having chosen to relocate to a newly-built area in Hogsmeade. Hogsmeade itself, as well as the various wizarding schools, remains hidden from muggles. These areas are covered in every muggle-repelling and secrecy charms known, and as much as muggles search these areas have yet to be found.
A new power
With the wizarding world in an uproar, it was just a matter of time before Shacklebolt was replaced. A mysterious but seemly caring figure rose from the shadows as the ideal replacement, and his arguments won over many wizards and witches. Warning that the current Ministry was full of bumbling fools, he won a landslide election by proclaiming to want to help save the wizarding world.
However, there are whispered rumors that all is not as it seems. Those against the Minister are disappearing or found murdered, and not all believe it is just the random acts of an insane person. Old Order members and those who fought against Voldemort at Hogwarts years ago have a different story; whispers that behind his concerned facade, this new Minister is unnervingly similar to Voldemort in bribing, threatening, torturing, or murdering all those against him or in favor of the old Ministry.
Secret organizations
These worried wizards and witches have banded together to form a new type of Order, called the Order of the Wolves. They meet in secret in an unplottable and warded area close to Hogwarts and Hogsmeade, and members may only be allowed to attend meetings once proven loyal.
Though thus far the Minister has proven true in is his attempts to protect wizards, the Order believes without a doubt he was the one to reveal magic, perhaps to take over the Ministry easier, and they are determined to stop him in whatever way possible.
However, the Minister has formed his own group, simply named the Minister’s followers, or the followers. They are picked by in Minister himself in secrecy, and their goal is to find and eliminate any and all Order of the Wolves members or supporters. They stop at nothing to accomplish their goal, and have been given permission to use any means necessary.
Or at least, that is what anyone outside of the followers believes. What no one else knows is that his followers have been charged with another task, primary to shutting up the Order and anyone else speaking out against the Minister…
