"Yeah, I have a very good idea!" she laughed and tapped on her schoolbag. "I got the perfect idea, actually."

Jocelyn leaned foward and began to whisper into Bindi's ear. She occasionally laughed and when she was done she looked at her expectingly.

"So, what do you think? I thought it up the other day while I was shopping, and I think we'd get a really good laugh out of it!" she giggled.

Harvey Lucas


Harvey Lucas never was a happy man. I cannot remember him laughing a lot, unless when he was drunk and his friends said something funny. Or he was laughing at my mother. I cannot remember him having hobbies, either. The pub was his favourite place, after he stopped going to social events. I cannot say that I miss him. I do, however, feel guilty.

I miss my mother. Even if she was asleep most of the time, or strange when she was awake. I remember the day still on which she let me wear my princess costume all day long because I wanted to. That, and rubber boots, because they were so pretty red with the white dots. I don't remember doing much with her after I turned eight, but the things before that, they are enough to smile about.

Charlie and I were always the closest until he changed. Before he got Minister of Magic, and got married to Claire, and had Andrea, before all that he would teach me how to pick Muggle locks or how to annoy Liam the best. He would pick me up from kindergarden and then teach me the best cheats in Quidditch. I love him very much.

I think Josh cares the most about family. He is the one who suffers the most when things are not going well, and he fights the hardest to fix them. He might be quiet and shy, and a little silly sometimes when he can't even speak to a pretty woman, but his heart is the largest I have ever seen. He will probably save the world from war someday, and when that day comes, I know I'll be so proud to be his sister!

Liam was Head Boy, and he played bloody good Quidditch; then he won a scholarship in Japan to be a special Auror, and he's only been back for a few years and is climbing the ladder without stopping. He's even still with all these beautiful women, even after I thought he would marry October. Liam can do no wrong, and nobody can be angry with him. He is my best friend, I think. I can tell him anything.

Jocelyn Evanna Lucas is the youngest of four siblings who grew up together in an old mansion in London which was inherited to her mother Jane by her parents.

Jane Lucas married Harvey Dolorhyde; a gentle and friendly man until he fell for alcohol and began to run the household in a violent way. Jane lost her spirit and grew old and tired for her age. He began to beat up his children when he was in a bad mood (which happened often), while Jocelyn suffered least under him she did more so in concern about her brothers.

Charles is the oldest of all siblings; he attended Ravenclaw and was the best student in his year (which is all the Lucas boys); he studied to be an Unspeakable after his graduation and after working in the Ministry of Magic for five years he joined the Wizengamot; three years later he was announced Chief Warlock and is one of the most important men employed there. He is engaged to Claire Mairwen.
Joshua Lucas is very different from Charlie; he is shy and has problems communicating with women (which is also very uncommon for one of the Lucas boys). He is the British representation in politics and leads the Department of International Cooperation in the Ministry of Magic; like his other brothers he is a member of the Order of the Phoenix fighting hard against Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters.
Liam Lucas is studying to be an Auror. He is almost finished and ready to defend fatherland in battle. He is very enthusiastic and about to get married to October Lawrence.

Jocelyn grew up much protected; her mother was happy to finally have given birth to a girl after three boys and she was treated that way. All her things were pink or had flowers printed on them; sometimes even both. She went to ballet classes and on shopping sprees from the day she knew how to walk; she had the nicest dresses when Jane would take her on functions or fundraisers; short – Jocelyn Lucas was properly introduced into society.
The only reason she didn’t grow up to be a social butterfly and spoilt little monster were her brothers. They treated her as one of their own (a boy) and taught her how to wrestle rather than knit. Jane didn’t like it, but soon her primary focus wasn’t on her children anymore but her growing depressions.

When Lynnie started at Hogwarts she had a very good year. She quickly made a close group of friends; they named themselves the Corsairs and were inseparable even though they always welcomed new people into their midst. The Corsairs were Belinda Watson, Lily Evans, Jill Black, Alaina Riley and herself. They quickly paired up with the boys who conveniently named themselves the Marauders and were made up of Sirius Black, James Potter, Peter Pettigrew, Remus Lupin and Jason Watson; together they tried their limits in school and received a lot of detention.

In her first year she met the seventh year Slytherin Dylan Vandimir and fell head over heels for him. He was her first love and shared his secrets with her; where he came from, that he was a Werewolf and also that he loved her most of all. The relationship began to fail after a while when Dylan couldn’t remember things he had done while being controlled by the wolf inside him; that is how Jocelyn found out that he had been with Veela twins and later impregnated a Muggle. She sent him to be married to the Muggle woman which he promptly did, leaving her behind. At the same time the condition of her parents worsened. Jane became permanently tied to the bed, hooked on medication while Harvey became so aggressive that Charlie could not take it anymore. One morning Harvey vanished and has not come back since.

After Dylan’s departure in her second year Jocelyn distanced herself from her friends, trying to figure out why this had happened to her. She grew lonely and on her birthday she had a very large fight with Bindi; breaking their friendship in two. Jill had vanished from the radar as had Alaina and Lily, too, Suddenly Jocelyn found herself without her friends; her parents were gone and Charlie was completely busy with work and this new girl, Claire; Josh was stressed with his work, and had begun staying there late while Liam took a year off to go to Kyoto and attend a year in an Auror school there, far away in Japan.

She began to become depressive herself until one day she ran into the most vicious creature she could imagine. It was in Knockturn Alley where she got lost and met Moritz Erichsen, a lethal Death Eater. They talked and he threatened her, but she didn’t care – it was at a point that she didn’t care anymore what happened to her. It had an effect on him and he didn’t harm her but sent her away. Their paths crossed again when Jocelyn was invited to a dinner at the Malfoy Mansion; he crashed the party and joined her in the gardens. After arguing again they shared a kiss and Jocelyn was trapped. She fell for him harder than she knew she could.

After that night she couldn’t stop thinking of him, and then while she was having breakfast in the Great Hall at Hogwarts one morning a letter from him arrived. It was written in German and once she translated it with help from Madam Pince she was shocked. It said ‘In my dreams I kiss you c!nt, you sweet wet c!nt, In my thoughts I f!ck you all day long.’
Jocelyn was scared and fascinated at the same time; she had never had anyone talk to her that way before and she was too easily tempted; she responded with a similar letter, more polite and innocent, but she made sure he received it and also knew in it that she did not wish to see him again.

Of course they bumped into each other again in Hogsmeade when he followed her to the Shrieking Shack, reminding her of her letter and the promises she made in it; Jocelyn turned weak and it nearly came to intercourse but they were interrupted by a Patronus; he was called to an attack. When Jocelyn read the headlines the next morning she knew he was a Death Eater. He had been arrested and sent to Azkaban on suspicion of murdering several people.

Shocked about who he was she went home to forget him, but she couldn’t get him out of her mind until she went to Azkaban to pay him a visit. He ignored her when she came to see him. She grew angry and left, but didn’t manage to ban him from her thoughts. Two months later he was freed because the evidence locked away in the Ministry had been tampered with.

Moritz used this to his advantage and began a personal battle against the Chief Warlock Charles Lucas, threatening his family; little did he know that he was the older brother of the girl he was involved with.
At home Jocelyn was preparing dinner for her brothers and the Lawrence sisters who were with the Lucas siblings as long as she could think back, but the mood was bad. She soon started a fight with October and then once her brothers got home she managed to tick them off, too. When Amber Lawrence told her brothers that Jocelyn had been drinking and sleeping around, which was untrue, she lost her temper and charged. The same moment Moritz came into the house and Jocelyn begged him to take her with him. He did as asked and in horror both families watched the young girl depart with the Death Eater.

Moritz took her to his flat in Glasgow where they had another fight. She ran away right after he shouted at her again; getting lost in the streets of the town and almost freezing to death. Moritz came after her and found her, bringing her back home. That night she lost her virginity to him.

He left the next morning and Jocelyn followed him. She caught him meeting up with another woman and sleeping with her, too. Her heart broke when she thought she had been something special. She ran back to his home and began to break what she thought was valuable to him; when he arrived and saw her he lost his temper and stabbed her multiple times with his knife. Jocelyn was more dead than alive when he realized what had happened, and in a moment of mercy he carried her to St. Mungo’s hospital and left her on the steps to be saved.

Her brothers arrived shortly after and took care of her. Charlie was furious and now had proof that Moritz was guilty; Jocelyn’s word in his court would lock him up for life and give him a Dementor’s Kiss on top of it; but when the date arrived and Jocelyn sat at court to lock Moritz away she lied and said he hadn’t done it. She loved him too much to take his life. She left back to the hospital leaving Charlie furious.
Jill Black arrived back in Jocelyn’s life and refused to leave. She offered her support and Jocelyn sent her away. She, too, had a bad run in with Moritz in which she got hurt. Jocelyn didn’t care; she remained silent and then, one night, Moritz returned and took her with him, bringing her back to his apartment in Glasgow.

Jocelyn stayed with him for a little while until he vanished again, only this time she refused to return to her family. She got a job in his local pub and made a deal with the landlady to stay in his apartment; there she worked in the summer and grew years older than she was. She got little sleep and hardly spent a night not dreaming about Moritz coming back for her. She wrote him many letters.

In the meantime Charlie was searching for her, interrogating her friends and old friends about her whereabouts, trying to track her down and find a sign of life; when he found Dylan Vandimir, by now proud father of a child and another one on the way, Dylan knew how to find her. He travelled to Scotland and met her, confronting her with her situation and how she was only hurting herself and others around her. It convinced her and after calling Liam she returned back to London into her home.

Things went well (more or less); Jocelyn didn’t want to return to Hogwarts and was still longing for Moritz to return to her. He had never said goodbye. When she got wind of Charlie’s hunt for him after he was announced the most dangerous Death Eater in the country, she ran to Knockturn Alley where they had first met to warn him. She ran into all dark places she could think of, and once she landed in a dark house she hid in a room, realizing that her actions had been very foolish. The building was a brothel and she could hear customers being served on both sides of the walls; but when she wanted to leave she recognized Moritz’s voice. She threw herself against the door that separated them, begging him to hide and save himself. He identified himself, and Jocelyn beseeched him to run instead of doing anything thoughtless so she wouldn’t lose him.

He never responded and she left home, knowing there was nothing much to do or say anymore. The next weeks passed uneventful; Jocelyn drew herself further back, pretending to be careless in front of her family, and as the last night before her departure to Hogwarts had arrived, Moritz did so with it, and they spent passionate hours until she had to leave.
At King’s Cross station he came again, and she thought he wanted to see her off; instead he informed her that he was going to war in Germany and would not return.

Her heart broke again that morning and she returned to Hogwarts. There she rekindled with her friends, shutting her heart away as best she could. She overcame problems like a possible pregnancy or heartache by seeing the healers and the counsellor, but when a Slytherin girl was abducted by Moritz and Hufflepuff Henrietta Piggot informed Jocelyn that Hannah Kinselle was married to Moritz and had a lovechild with him, she lost her mind a little bit. Her way of coping with the pain was a physical relationship with Slytherin Vincent Jones II, a handsome boy who could lift the numbness that had taken in every inch of Jocelyn for a little while, until the curtain hit her again.


Jocelyn went through a numb phase, ignoring everything around her and everyone close to her, shutting out the reality until she woke up for a moment one day when she saw Hannah; confronting the Slytherin with what had happened Kinselle didn’t react well, she cast the Sectumsempra curse on Jocelyn leaving her to die. She was aided by a passing student and survived, however her state of mind didn’t change.

Soon Jill decided to interfere and forced Jocelyn to reveal her thoughts by entering her mind; then she went to Charlie who admitted her into the psych ward in St. Mungo’s for rehabilitation. Jocelyn stayed there for a month with depression because of Moritz Erichsen, haunted daily by realistic nightmares with him, talking to him even though he wasn’t there. She also hallucinated his presence.

One day Phaedra Circe came to the ward and filled Jocelyn’s mind with false memories she had obtained from Ariana Vinsint and Hannah Kinselle displaying Moritz and Hannah with a son in a happy marriage. It was too much for Jocelyn to bare, she cracked inside and began to harm herself in order to make it go away. Phaedra did not stop but continue, telling Jocelyn how unimportant to Moritz she was until Jocelyn’s self-preservation instinct kicked in, locking all her memories of Moritz far into the back of her mind, making her overcome her unhealthy obsession with the man.

On her return to Hogwarts things changed for Jocelyn; after her brother was announced Minister of Magic she became a public figure much to the joy of Henrietta Piggot who wrote a nasty cover article on her for the Daily Prophet gossip column leaving Jocelyn to the ridicule of the school. When confronting the students in the Great Hall for exactly such Phaedra stepped in giving Jocelyn the incentive to let her rage and hatred against the girl flow; she cast a Cruciatus Curse on her and she cast a better one on Jill Black, an innocent bystander. Both girls were sent to Azkaban immediately.

After her return from Azkaban Jocelyn returned to normal, spending time with her friends, going out shopping, studying and pranking even though the idea of getting her revenge of Phaedra Circe had a serious note in the entire story. She upheld the picture of the careless girl but left her murderous thoughts out of it. In the beginning of May she was in Eden Garden shopping when Moritz found her. He had escaped from prison and come to find her.

Jocelyn took him to a hotel and spent a few hours with him in hopes to finally let go of him, and it worked. He however changed within those few hours, for the first time she saw emotions for him in her eyes. She blew them off, remembering that he had a family, but he didn’t let go, he marked her his own. Jocelyn returned to school and Moritz was caught and returned to prison. The holidays started and Jocelyn headed to a holiday in Australia with her boyfriend Vincent Jones II.

When they returned from Australia over summer things went very fast. Jocelyn was happy again, even participated in the rehearsals for the school play, the re-enactment of Beadle the Bard’s take of The Fountain of Fair Fortune, due to be performed on Halloween. She prepared with her friends, as excited as ever, but after the performance a bad surprise waited for her.

As she was taking off her makeup and listening to Jill how she had just finally hooked up with Nathan, a Hufflepuff she had fallen for, Moritz stormed into the dressing room and attacked Jill and Bindi, demanding Jocelyn to come with him. He revealed that he had hunted down Vincent and first tortured, and then decapitated him, leaving only his head which he sent to the grieving parents. Jocelyn felt her feelings for him awake again despite the horrible news, and left with Moritz, disappointing Jill, Jason, Bindi and Josh as it was humanly possible.

Together they fled to Florence in Italy where Moritz had a jealous outburst and beat and tortured Jocelyn for an evening, and then left for three days only to return to her and live as ‘normal’ life as he was capable of doing. They returned to London only once to get Jocelyn’s things; during that ‘visit’ her father caught them and attacked Jocelyn; in self defense she pushed him down the stairs which ended lethally for Harvey. Moritz took the blame of that murder on himself by staging a typical death. They they returned to Florence again. Moritz vanished during the days while Jocelyn took care of the house and explored the city, secretly studying Italian and German, and returning by night which they spent together until he left in the mornings again.

In February 1975 her uncle Remington, called by her brother, finally tracked her down and told her that she had to return home. She sent him away, but doubt was left in her heart. She knew that life as she was living it was not possible much longer. When Moritz returned home she told him everything, but he didn’t listen. She suspected him of cheating on her again, followed him just to find out that he had kidnapped the daughter of her old teacher, little Elena Iuritch. After that things happened fairly quickly. Jocelyn secretly began taking care of Elena when Moritz was not at home while they began living together, and not next to each other anymore.

One day Jill Black in her spite teamed up with Imelda, a girl who hated Jocelyn, and wrote Moritz a letter stating that Jocelyn had killed his child. It had the wanted effect. Moritz read it and decided that his time with Jocelyn had come to an end. The same day Kristin Bell came to see Jocelyn and announced her mother’s death caused by too many pills. Jane Lucas was dead, and Jocelyn realized, too, that her time in Italy had finally finished. After one last night with Moritz she woke up the next morning and he was gone. Jocelyn waited for three days, but she knew deep down that it was over. She took Elena and in the middle of Florence Alexander Krum, who had promised Dance Harmony to find her child, found Jocelyn and brought her back home.

The weeks after were hell on earth. Remington took Jocelyn to the Emerson Chambers for Charlie forbid her to return home while Kristin Bell moved in with them; Jocelyn was not allowed to leave the house or see friends at all, only at Hogwarts she could socially interact. One day she cracked and fled the castle with two Slytherins, Rosaline Stephane and Nira Dolph. She befriended them after Jill refused to speak to her again, and the rest of the school knew what had happened and either mocked, or loathed Jocelyn for what she had done to everyone. In Knockturn Alley the girls got drunk and got tattoos; Moritz’s roses for Jocelyn for he had gotten them for her. It was all over when Jocelyn’s guardians showed up, and Jocelyn was locked away. After many attempts Jill forgave her, and she began to re-integrate into the old group of friends.

New friends showed up in form of Mercy Barker and Arthur Finn, but when everyone went to Hogsmeade there was a Death Eater attack of full force; Bellatrix Black chose Jocelyn as a victim, dragged her away and sliced her wrists and throat open, with Moritz watching who left her for dead without caring. Jocelyn saw and fell into a manic state which is tucked away far down. When she awoke she made a new friend; Gustav Dvorak, a Healer who took an interest in Jocelyn. Remington gave him permission to visit so they grew close and she could confess to him that Moritz would find her in her dreams and try to kill her; the strange thing being that he was not really there, but the next morning the wounds would be real.

At the same time Aeron Clemente’s parents were murdered by Moritz, and he came to Jocelyn for comfort, which she gave him by cheating once more on Moritz, hoping to ban him from her mind that way.
