Having Spencer in the house again felt lovely and Nadia had a good feeling about their meeting, I think it’s time, leaving him to eat for a moment to go get her own plate out of the kitchen Nadia stood at the refrigerator for a moment trying to calm herself again. It was one thing to mentally prepare yourself for something like this and once the situation is actually there it doesn’t seem like you’ve been prepared at all.
Hearing Spencer say he had good news made her heart skip a beat, which only made her feel silly, they had been together for long enough for things like this not to get to her, but for some reason Spencer never stopped making her feel like she had butterflies in her stomach. Sighing she got out a pitcher of lemonade, if there was one thing Nadia loved year round it was lemonade, and walked back to the table where her husband was sitting.
“What’s the news?” she asked as she poured herself a glass before pouring a glass for Spencer.
Nadia was a little concerned before that things weren’t going to work out between Spencer and herself but when she saw his face her opinion changed. Her life had been a roller coaster for the past few years after having the twins; they were a hand full and drove her up the wall. Baby blues didn’t help much at the time, but Nadia was starting to think her cousin was right when she said life can’t always be perfect, she was starting to appreciate the bumps a little more. It gives me a chance to love what is great in my life so much more, Nadia thought as she gave Spencer a kiss on the cheek and walked back to her chair to eat her dinner as well.
